Ct Scan
in Hendon

Hendon Dental in Hendon is one of the leading dental practices in West London. Here at Hendon, we truly believe that in order to treat our patients and provide them with the highest standards of service and dental treatments, our dentists and staff members must be able to use the latest, state-of-the-art technology.

WHAT IS A CT SCANNER

A CT scanner (Computerised Tomography) is an advanced type of x-ray used when regular dental or facial x-rays are not sufficient. A CT scanner can produce three-dimensional (3-D) images of your teeth, soft tissues, nerve pathways and bone in a single scan, which can often be necessary for some treatments and allow for a more precise treatment planning.

CT imaging is considered one of the best and fastest instruments for examining the body because it can provide cross-sectional views of the required area and produce highly detailed images.

HOW LONG WILL A CT SCAN TAKE & IS IT SAFE

CT scan is an extremely valuable technology, which allows our implant dentists, orthodontists, and oral surgeons to create detailed treatment plans. Typically, a CT scan session will take only around 10-15 minutes.

CT scans are non-invasive, completely painless and require no recovery time afterward. The radiation dose is only marginally higher than it is during a standard X-ray scan.
