Dr Sonia Kumar Phakey graduated from the University of Aberdeen and St Georges, University of London with degrees in Bachelor of Dental Surgery and BSc(Hons) Biomedical Science in 2014 and 2010 respectively. Over the last few years, she has developed a special interest in periodontology, the treatment of gum disease. She currently doing her MSc in Periodontology at the Eastman, UCL.

Sonia creates a calm and positive environment for all her patients, making the trip to the dentist an enjoyable and relaxing experience. She is particularly helpful with anxious or nervous patients.

She has previously worked in the prestigious Harley Street providing an array of minimally invasive restorative procedures and cosmetic work. These include whitening, composite bonding, veneers, crowns and minimally invasive orthodontics. She has carried out extensive cosmetic postgraduate training with some of the UK's most respected names including Dr Attiq Rahman, Dr Jason Smithson and IAS Academy to name a few. She is also a Trustee for Dentists’ Health and Support Trust.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, as well as doing meditation, yoga and running.
